Java / Python Developer - Leading Advisory Firm

Requirements

Technically strong with a minimum of 2-3 years relevant industry experience or professional or educational higher level qualifications in an NLP-related discipline.

• Expertise in one or more languages, Java or Python preferred.
• Confident with the selection and application of open source libraries to NLP domain problems.
• Familiar with Entity Extraction, particularly in large and unstructured data sets.
• Experience in researching solutions to new areas
• Strong logical reasoning, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Communication - the ability to break down and explain technical concepts in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical people
• Ability to coach and mentor junior staff
• Any background in delivering R&D projects where outcomes have been initially uncertain
• Any Financial Services or comparable regulated sector experience
• Cloud Platforms (GCP, Azure), Source Control (Git), Software life-cycle (Azure DevOps, Jira)
