Business Analyst/Project Manager - Financial Services - Technology - Contract - London

A leading financial services firm with a global remit, are actively looking for mulitple hybrid Business Analyst/Project Manager with experience facing off to technical stakeholders. They are currently in the process of building out a bigger team in order to meet the demand of projects, by their key stakeholders.

This role will be within their technology department for delivery of key projects, the successful individuals will be working closely wqith senior stakehodlers, development teams and third party vendors.

Essential skills

  • Experience working as a Senior Business Analyst / PM in Investment Banking
  • Ability to identify, attempt to rectify and appropriately escalate issues and risks
  • Strong track record of delivery including major business change projects
  • Extensive experience of working with a range of project Methodologies and proven track record of executing within the organisations project preferred methodology
  • Able to produce the project plan & business solution design in Microsoft Project, Visio, and PowerPoint
  • Experience of delivering upgrades to development platforms


  • Involved in strategic designing and planning discussions for the future architecture with the business stakeholders and development teams
  • Plan the delivery approach and timelines with all stakeholders
  • Manage the delivery progress of offshore development teams and vendors
  • Provide technical guidance / leadership to the development / delivery teams where relevant
  • Oversee the upgrade of infrastructure projects
  • Create relevant documentation, project plans and presentations for senior management stakeholders
  • Define analysis approach in line with the strategic vision of the programme and the preferred methodology of the organisation
  • Articulate and present commercial effectiveness of requirement proposals within a project or initiative
  • Face off to one or many business areas/SME's understanding high level requirements and challenging where necessary
  • Work independently to elicit, validate and document systems requirements in either BRDs or user/feature stories depending on the SDLC in use by the development teams
  • Participation in the Design process coordinated by the Programme Management team, from Design approval to functional design completion - help to ensure the functionality/benefits envisaged are delivered
  • Manage testing cycle and own the resolution of defects pertaining to requirement and design working with test teams and SMEs
  • Where applicable work with functional or business areas and SMEs to plan migrations of users and or transactions
  • Participate in helping to perform system training for new users, or when new functionality is released
